Troop 206 Parent's Meeting Held Monday 1/6/2003
1. Wreath Sales
Janice S. gave update on wreath sales. Purchased 200 wreaths for $11.00 on 12/6. Sold 26 wreaths at Trinity Church Sun 12/8
Each scout was required to sell 5 wreaths. Collecting money and will give financial report next meeting
Discussion/Feedback from parents:
Would like to receive them earlier- many people already had wreaths
Price too high- Cosco has them for less with more decorations
Would like to pre sale wreaths prior to Thanksgiving- 1 scout made own flyer
for neighbors pre-sold 3 wreaths
Adult leaders with no scouts were not contacted
Recomendation to sell wrapping paper or candy bars instead
Evaulation for next year:
- Get wreaths earlier
- Price lower or more decorations
- Pre sale flyer
2. Pancake Breakfast
Saturday 2/15 8-11:30 Trinity Church
Tickets distributed to the scout- 10 minimum per scout
Tickets will be mailed to scout if not at meeting
Keith will keep track of # of tickets each scout receives
Keith d. asked for volunteers to help. Pass around sign up sheet with time and
tasks
Bill A. reminded the parents that this is a mandatory event for each family to
participate in the work
Recommend next year to be later in the spring since this is on the heals of the wreath & popcorn fundraisers

4. Court of Honor
Monday 1/27 Trinity Church
No Eagle court. 5-7 scouts advancing to next rank.
Merit badges earned at Merit Badge Midway will not be included in this court of
honor
5. Ski Weekend
Fri- Sun 1/31-/2/2 Sugar Bowl
31 people signed up. 16 adults- 15 kids
Balance due on 1/15 to Alan Z.
6. Summer Camp
Camp Hi Sierra7/13-7/19
1st deposit of $25 due 2/21 Total cost $195.00

7. December Trip/ Functions
USS Hornet Friday 12/13 -14 people attended included a few Webelos
Rainy weather, good experience
Rim of the Bay hike- Changed to Sweeny Ridge from Mission Peak due to
rain & mud
Next hike on 2/8 to Mission Peak or Mt Tam. Look for flyer from Emma S.
Malibu Fun Night- 12/16 Mix up with Malibu. Group moved to
Granite Planet and had a blast!
Death Valley Trip- 15 people went on trip headed up by John N.
Had wonderful timing driving through the desert& over sand dunes. Had fires
each night
8. New Business
Goodwill Clothes Drive- Scouts bring 3 bags of clothes to Goodwill
during Feb/Mar
Bring receipt of donation to Pam F. Scout will receive a patch with yearly
rockers
White Water Raft Trip - Last weekend in April. $42.50 deposit due
January 28. More info from Bill A. to
follow.
