On this hike we had a small group.  There were only 10 scouts, 2 Webelos, and 4 adult leaders.  We left Sacred Heart in pea soup fog and the hike was as clear as water on the mountain above the cloud line.  It was a beautiful fall day.  The hike was not bad but was about a 7 mile round trip, 3.5 up and 3.5 down.  We gained 2,200 feet in elevation in getting to our lunch spot at the top of the mountain which was 3,850 feet tall.  That’s the most elevation gain of all of the Rim of the Bay hikes.  Mr. Reneau did his usual good job of teaching native plants to the new micro scouts.  Perhaps the funniest part of the day was when Aaron and Alec started singing up at the front of the pack.  They thought that they were pretty good singers!   As usual we passed the carabineer at the end of the hike.
